Wayne Keating
Managing Director

Wayne joined the Kingston Capital Group as Managing Director, with over 35 years’ experience in the finance industry and a significant portion of that spent with one of Australia’s biggest banks. Wayne is well placed to assist brokers with the dynamic changes faced by the mortgage industry, specifically within the aggregation space after many years assisting loan writers to build successful, sustainable businesses that today continue to flourish.

Wayne has held a number of positions specifically in the Finance Broker industry, having generated market leading sales results at the Commonwealth Bank, Third Party Division in Western Australia, South Australia, Northern territory and New South Wales. Most recently he ran a very successful Broker division of the CBA, known as Mortgage Innovation and settled record loan volumes in his last year, prior to him directly entering the Broker Market independently.

Setting out with a goal of developing Australia’s most effect home loan sales channel for the Commonwealth Bank, Wayne has been pivotal in delivering innovation throughout this area of business. Crafting platforms for compliance support, training, access to cutting edge software and business development advice for the Mortgage Innovation team.

Chris Appleyard
Founder & Corporate Advisor

Lead Corporate Advisor and Management Consultant for The Kingston Group, Chris has provided high level strategic advice to Global companies throughout his 13 years in the Financial Services Industry.

Chris worked Special Projects Manager for the Findex Group, the KKR backed Financial Services entity, and was involved with integration projects, acquisition and subsequent mergers of some the largest Financial Services firms in Australia.
Previous to this appointment, Chris returned from the UK (as detailed below) and successfully purchased, consolidated and merged a number of financial services firms, established one of Australia’s leading independent AFSL’s, and founded Australia’s first automated and low cost SMSF solution.

Chris commenced his career in the UK as a Private Client Advisor and Funds Manager. A specific focus regarding the sustainability planning for UK listed companies (and the opportunities these companies presented for growth), provided a skill set that is forward looking and assists companies to consider their complex 50-year growth plans in a 21st Century environment.

Chris has extensive, global connections with Institutional Banks, Top Tier Private Equity, Superannuation Funds, Funds Managers and some of the largest Family Offices across the world. With a diverse and unique skill set spanning Mergers,

Acquisitions, Capital Raising, Corporate Structure, Operational Efficiency, IT Systems and Architecture, and Financial Forecasting / Management for Corporate entities.

Chris is most effective working with CEO’s, Advisory Boards, Investors and Top Tier Advisory Firms to add value and act as a mutual investor with operational and execution capability.

Harry Scott
Head of Asset Finance

Harry commenced his career in finance at Homeside lending bank in 2000 starting in a brokerage support role. Gaining a broad knowledge in day-to-day operations of one of the fastest growing mortgage providers at the time.

Harry then started Designer Home Loans in 2004 where he ran a successful mortgage business for 7 years, built largely on close relationships with accountants, financial planners and real estate agents.

In 2011 Harry joined Stratton Finance, to this day one of the biggest asset finance writers in the country. He understands the complexities of writing asset finance deals.

Harry knows what it takes to build and maintain strong relationships with referral partners and excels in building client rapport. Harry has been a successful broker for the past 11 years and is looking forward to building Australia’s premier asset finance business.
